A soba restaurant located in a corner of a residential area in Nakano Ward, Tokyo.

Even though it is a soba restaurant, the menu is extensive, with everything from rice bowls to set meals, and even ramen in addition to soba.

This time, as usual, I ordered a rice bowl instead of soba noodles.

I ordered a tempura bowl, but it came in a bento box instead of a bowl.

First, the shrimp tempura. It looks small because you can see the rice, but it’s actually a normal size.

The same goes for sweet potato tempura. It might be better if the rice was arranged so that it was less visible.

The taste was light, but it was neither good nor bad. The rice was a little hard. Perhaps because I ordered a large portion, the tempura alone was not enough as a side dish, so I ended up eating the remaining rice with pickles and miso soup.

When I tried to eat the leftover rice, it was hard and crumbly, making it difficult to eat with chopsticks, so I held the bento box and put it to my mouth, shoveling it in.

The food was generally seasoned in a safe manner and the food was consistent.
