Spaghetti (pasta)

The shopping street at the north exit of Nakano Station…a small shop on the corner of the T-junction where Hakusen-dori Street meets Fureai Road.

Spaghetti (pasta)

Judging from the name of the restaurant, it seems to be a hayashi rice restaurant⁉ Apparently the most popular dish is omuhayashi.

But…my “target” today is Neapolitan. For some reason, I suddenly had a craving!

I buy a ticket and sit at the counter. A few minutes after the onion soup comes out first…it’s finally here! A mega serving of 600g!!

Onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, Vienna sausages, and a stainless steel plate! It’s so retro and lovely♪

First, I try it as is. The sausage…cut diagonally for a nice crunch. It’s delicious on its own. I munch the pasta…the texture is just right. It’s perfectly al dente! The slightly sweet tomato sauce clings perfectly to the pasta, which is also exquisite! And it’s not oily at all! Even a mega-portion like this won’t leave you feeling bloated. The unique flavor of the bell peppers adds a nice accent, and the vegetables you eat with the sauce-soaked pasta create a slightly different flavor experience.

Next, I sprinkle on the grated cheese. I pour in a generous amount. The salty cheese and the slightly sweet tomato sauce add even more flavor. This restaurant’s Neapolitan is a joy to eat. The flavor is just right for me, and it’s delicious.

I was satisfied with the grated cheese and missed out on trying the Tabasco flavor (-_-;) Oh well, whatever.

Many pasta restaurants tend to be overly oily, but the pasta at this restaurant is not too oily. Even though it’s not a pasta specialty restaurant, the Neapolitan at this restaurant is delicious! I highly recommend it!
