It’s a short walk from JR Fuchinobe Station, but there’s a very friendly restaurant.
I visited on a scorching hot day with temperatures exceeding 36 degrees.
I was alone so I sat in a corner near the entrance, but the staff urged me to move to a four-person table in the back. They were concerned that I was sweating profusely and would be exposed to the breeze from the air conditioner.
They were kind…very homely.
So I ordered a large portion of katsu curry.

First, curry. It has a very homely taste. It matches the atmosphere of the restaurant and reminds me of the home-cooked curry of the past. It’s not spicy, but has a Japanese flavor.
And the cutlet.
Seriously crispy! The inside is juicy with meat juice bursting out! The contrast between the crispy and juicy textures is very satisfying. Eat one slice as is, then dip it in curry…delicious♪
The deep fried cutlet and the Japanese flavor of the curry go perfectly together and are delicious.
It was a pleasant restaurant, with the attentive staff and delicious flavors.
