This Western restaurant is located along Meiji-dori, roughly halfway between Hiroo Station on the Hibiya Subway Line and JR Ebisu Station.
At first glance, the store looks like a coffee shop, but it’s a true Showa-era retro. Slightly faded sample dishes are lined up on glass shelves. Just this alone brings back memories.

When you step inside…you’ll see burnt-brown doors, tables, and counters. The warmth and solidity of the wood. It’s definitely Showa-era! So relaxing.

An elderly lady served me. There was no menu booklet.
I looked at the main menu posted on the wall and the lunch menu written on the board.
Actually…when I was doing my research before coming, I had decided that I wanted to eat pork cutlet.
However, rice and soup are charged separately unless you order the lunch menu.
Still, I stuck to my original plan! I ordered pork cutlet and rice.

There was a generous amount of sauce on it. I dipped it in generously and took a big bite.
Ketchup sauce. I wonder if it was mixed with something else, it was a little warm and the acidity was mild.
Simply delicious.

Not only is the restaurant’s appearance retro, but the food is retro as well.

The portions aren’t huge, the seasoning isn’t elaborate, and the cooking method isn’t special…it’s just a simply made pork cutlet. It’s safe, reliable, and brimming with nostalgia.

A dish like this doesn’t need any fancy flavors. The crispy fried pork cutlet is savory, slice by slice, savory, and a joy to savor.

The accompanying raw vegetables are topped with the restaurant’s accompanying dressing, another simple Thousand Island style. Everything is retro.

And…

The service is also retro. Because it got so crowded, they forgot to bring me cold water lol.
But I was satisfied because I was able to enjoy the retro Showa era in both the restaurant’s atmosphere and the food!
