Katsu curry at a fried food specialty restaurant．

A restaurant specializing in fried foods located in Koenji, Suginami Ward, Tokyo.

This time I ordered katsu curry at this restaurant.

The tonkatsu on top was so big that I couldn’t see the rice underneath.

When I tried it… the pork cutlet was deep-fried slowly and carefully, and was very soft and juicy. 💛

It was too thick and too filling.

So I think I’d end up getting full just from eating tonkatsu.

The curry seems to have been simmered thoroughly, and the ingredients have melted and blended into the roux.

The curry is seasoned in a Japanese style, but I can only taste the spices for the moment I eat it…but it has a clean aftertaste!

This curry is made so that the taste of the tonkatsu does not get in the way of its flavor, so that you can fully enjoy it. I think that tonkatsu is the main ingredient of this katsu curry.
