This is a nationwide chain of gyoza restaurants.
One of their features is that each store has its own original menu.
Their Nakano store is located in Central Park, and has a great location as you can get a panoramic view of the park from the windows.
Well, this restaurant has a limited menu of gyoza, fried chicken, and char siu bread. This is the “Nakano Best Rice.”

The fried rice has a mild taste, with a lot of oyster sauce. Most local Chinese restaurants have a strong seasoning, but since this restaurant is a chain, they probably use a safe seasoning that is suitable for everyone. The fried rice is not light and fluffy, but moist, so it may be popular with children. There is nothing particularly special about it, but it was consistently delicious.
The gyoza is delicious with plenty of meat. If I were to be greedy, I would add more filling or increase the size to give it perfect marks. (This is my personal opinion.)
The fried chicken is hard…I appreciate that it is fried well, but it is easier to eat if the batter is not too hard. Also, the taste may be a little light. It was just right when I dipped it in soy sauce and chili oil for the gyoza.
On a side note, the shredded cabbage. It might be better to cut it a little thinner.
The thick egg soup is also light in flavor, but if the other dishes are strong in flavor, that’s fine, but if all the dishes are light in flavor, the flavor balance of the soup in a set menu is lost.
Overall, the flavor is just okay. It’s consistently delicious, but for me, it’s just a single dish “served together.” I don’t know what’s so great about it. It’s just plain delicious, but I think they should think about what makes it unremarkable.
